Another One for the Obvious File

Here is an unsuprising little piece, that ending the assault weapon ban in September didn't bring about the end of civilization as the liberals predicted.

Despite dire predictions that the streets would be awash in military-style guns, the expiration of the decade-long assault weapons ban last September has not set off a sustained surge in the weapons' sales, gun makers and sellers say. It also has not caused any noticeable increase in gun crime in the past seven months, according to several metropolitan police departments.

Considering the fact that the assult weapon ban was just another feel-good piece of legislation that had no real affect on the "real world" I don't find it supprising that the our streets aren't "awash in military-style guns."
