Believe It Or Not, This Guy Used To Be Funny

Filmmaker-nerd Woody Allen recently had this to say about 9/11:

It's too small, history overwhelms it...The history of the world is like: He kills me, I kill him, only with different cosmetics and different castings. So in 2001, some fanatics killed some Americans, and now some Americans are killing some Iraqis.

Hollywood liberal relativism at its best. If it's sex, drugs, or retaliatory killing, everybody's doing it so it means nothing, man. Moral confusion is marketed as sophistication. People who see history (and actually study it, Woody) as more than an endless series of Friday the 13th sequels must be like, squares. Hollywood is slowly discovering that the US military isn't going to Vietnam this one even if Sean Penn is dropped on them, so, like adolescents, they've gone from hysterics to seemingly sullen indifference. And to think I once cracked up at the Woodster as a 19th century Russian conscript in "Love and Death"...
